Snowray is a macOS app that works fully offline, apart from optionally looking up online reference patterns. Your data stays on your Mac.
Snowray does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.
Snowray reads the diffraction files you explicitly open and writes the workspaces and exports you explicitly save, using macOS security-scoped file access. It accesses nothing else.
Snowray connects to the Crystallography Open Database (crystallography.net) only when you search for or add an online reference pattern. It sends only your search text or a COD entry ID — never your scans or any personal data. All other features work fully offline.
Snowray contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Snowray does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
